The Acadiana Center for the Arts is one of Acadiana's most distinctive venues for the ultimate in private entertainment, presenting and celebrating. The AcA is located at 101 W. Vermilion Street, standing at the crossroads of I-10 and I-49 in historic downtown Lafayette at the southwest corner of Jefferson and Vermilion streets. The AcA is a multi-use facility perfectly suited to host a wide range of events: meetings and presentations, musical or theater performances, intimate dinners or seated banquets, cocktail receptions and more. The AcA is located in a landmark building in the center of a vibrant downtown cultural district. Our event space is a mixture of elegant galleries and Soho-style industrial chic. The Heymann Performing Arts Center is Lafayette's state-of-the-art entertainment facility, attracting Broadway musicals, national ballet performances, and houses Acadiana's own symphony orchestra.

Galerie Lafayette @ Jefferson Street Market

Galerie Lafayette is housed in the Jefferson Street Market in downtown Lafayette, Louisiana. It operates as a fine arts gallery featuring the works of regional, national and international artists. Exhibits change approximately every six weeks. The gallery is open Monday through Saturday, 10am until 5pm, and admission is free. You can contact the Jefferson Street Market at 337-233-2589.

Other Downtown Art Galleries

There are several other art galleries that are housed in downtown Lafayette. These include Evangeline Galleries, Galerie de Louisiane, Gallery 549, Rodrigue Art Gallery, Sans Souci Fine Craft Gallery, and the Lafayette Art Associate Gallery, among others. Also, every second Saturday of the month, the ArtWalk, celebrating Lafayette's local artists, takes place downtown. Or you can just walk or drive through downtown and see all of the beautiful murals located throughout the city.
