Position Overview:

• Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana is looking for an energetic, talented, and passionate candidate to serve as the Club Director at the Lake Charles location.
• The Club Director is responsible for developing and implementing youth development instructional strategies, content, and management of the organization’s evaluation system.
• Under the supervision of the Area Manager, this position is responsible for developing and implementing youth development instructional strategies, content, and management of the organization’s evaluation system
• The Club Director will lead a team of part-time Youth Development Professionals towards the mission and goals of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana.
• The Club Director will work alongside the BGCA Leadership Team to bring research and evidence-based practices and strategies into the club and out into the community.

Salary Range: $45,000/year

Qualifications:

Position Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (education, sociology, or related field) preferred but combination of relevant experience and education considered
• A minimum of 3 years work experience in community-based youth development organization, managing both staff and programs
• Proficient technology skills including Microsoft Office, database management, basic computing, typing, email, and web applications
• Working knowledge of nonprofit budgets and budget management
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, presentation, and facilitation skills
• Ability to lead and collaborate; strong leadership skills necessary
• Ability to accomplish tasks under pressure and effectively work independently
• Prioritizes and follows through on tasks and assignments
• Ability to connect and build positive relationships with youth-work professionals, other staff, and targeted community members
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certification
• Valid State Driver’s License
