Hoover Groundbreaking ceremony for new Scott facility

Hoover Container Solutions ("Hoover" or the "Company") hosted a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday morning for the construction of a new facility in Scott. As part of its increased focus on the Louisiana market, Hoover has purchased nine acres located at 824 I-10 South in Scott. The new service center is expected to open in November 2013 and is more than five times the size of the space the Company currently occupies in Broussard on Hwy 90 East.

The new location will allow Hoover to offer a broader range of products and services. This expansion allows Hoover to expand its inventory of intermediate bulk containers (IBCs or tote tanks), offshore chemical tanks (1000 gallon to 6000 gallon), offshore containers (baskets, mudskips, half height containers) and customized workshop containers.

This new, larger, state of the art facility will expand Hoover's existing interior and exterior tank cleaning and recertification services and allow Hoover to provide other services to its customers including transportation and vendor managed inventory. Hoover plans to provide a complete suite of services and products to its customers so that they can focus on what they do best.

The facility is being designed by D&B Architecture in Broussard and will be built by Thomson Brothers Construction, Inc. General Contractors. The building will include 3,200 square feet of office space, approximately 20,000 square feet of warehouse and more than three acres of outside storage capacity. Hoover currently employs 10 people at its Broussard facility and plans to more than double its employee base as soon as the facility is complete.

With its corporate headquarters, manufacturing facility and Texas Service Center located in Houston, Texas; this significant expansion of its Louisiana Service Center represents Hoover's ongoing commitment to Louisiana and the Gulf Coast community.

"Our plan is to develop the preeminent tank and container facility in the United States. We believe the combination of products and services that we will provide at our Louisiana Service Center will benefit our customers considerably", said Donnie Young, Chairman and CEO of Hoover Group, Inc.
