Lafayette Natural History Museum & Planetarium - Over 10,000 sq. ft. of exhibitions, a state-of-the-art planetarium, discovery room and museum store. Activities include periodically scheduled programs with hands-on science, workshops, films, and other programs for children, families and adults.

Children's Museum of Acadiana - Hands-on educational children's museum for ages PK to 12 years. Visit our museum store, The Peek Inside. The museum is dedicated to de-mystifying everyday life, cultures and human differences.  

    

Alexander Mouton House/Lafayette Museum
- Lovely house museum and repository of Acadian history and culture. Original structure built in early 1800s as Sunday House of Vermilionville's founder, Jean Mouton. Became home of Gov. Alexandre Mouton. Listed on National Register of Historic Buildings. (337) 234-2208

Paul & Lulu Hillard University (of Louisiana at Lafayette) Art Museum

Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist - St. John Cathedral c. 1916 is a prominent landmark of downtown Lafayette. The 500-year-old Cathedral Oak, cemetery, museum & gift shop are on the church grounds. Pre-arranged tours are available. Listed on National Register of Historic Buildings.

Acadian Village - Acadian Village serves as a monument to the proud culture of the Acadian People. As a folk life museum, it offers an authentic vision of Acadian society in South La. during the 19th century.

Vermilionville - A beautiful 23-acre Cajun/Creole heritage & folklife park that recreates life in the Acadiana area from 1765 to 1890. Features self-guided tours, costumed craftspeople, live music, a cooking school, boat tours, a restaurant and a special events facility.
