1. Design the framework for a marketing plan
a. Pamphlets, brochures, logo, targeted advertisements
b. Identify key trade shows, conferences, and other communications venues
c. Assist with the design of website
2. Produce Report/Study
a. Solicit information from the subcommittees to produce study on regional assets and potential for renewable energy
b. Review other similar initiatives by other groups attempting to promote a region as a “hub” of expertise/activity (does not have to be in the alternative energy arena)
3. Suggest and design conferences and workshops for the Greater Acadiana Region
a. Recruit national and regional conferences
b. Develop conferences and training workshops locally
c. Propose other avenues
4. Develop renewable energy directory (inventory of relevant people and businesses with contact information)
5. Collaborate with traditional energy industry to explore renewable energy opportunities
6. Identify opportunities for strong collaboration with other regions within Louisiana and beyond (other states and foreign interests)
7. Recruit renewable energy companies to the Greater Acadiana Region
a. Identify target industries and companies
b. Coordinate teams to meet with potential companies
c. Assist in site selection
d. Assist in locating resources (incentives, financing, feedstocks, supporting companies, R & D expertise, workforce, etc.).
