Organizations: The Acadiana Arts Council (AAC) was founded 27 years ago to support and enhance the arts, humanities and cultural endeavors of an eight-parish region of southwestern Louisiana known as Acadiana. ACA provides programs for the development of a holistic regional community, a richer quality of life, and a more creative learning environment The AAC's mission is to serve as "a catalyst for the development of an environment that values and nourishes the arts."  | The Performing Arts Society of Acadiana (PASA) is a presenting organization based in Lafayette, LA. PASA was formed by citizens of the Acadiana area community who desired local access to performances by nationally and internationally recognized artists. PASA's mission is to present exemplary artists in performance and residency settings. Lafayette Art Association The Lafayette Art Association exists to promote, support, & encourage visual arts, crafts, artists, & craftsmen through literary & educational activities. Sponsorship of the annual "Pyromania" art in the park weekend, an exhibit of fire generated art, is just one of the ways they help in promoting art in Acadiana. | | Acadiana Symphony Orchestra and Conservatory of Music With more than 80 professional musicians and 50 music instructors at the Conservatory, the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra is one of the largest professional arts organizations in the area.
