The Acadiana Arts Council (AAC) was founded 27 years ago to support and enhance the arts, humanities and cultural endeavors of an eight-parish region of southwestern Louisiana known as Acadiana. ACA provides programs for the development of a holistic regional community, a richer quality of life, and a more creative learning environment The AAC's mission is to serve as "a catalyst for the development of an environment that values and nourishes the arts." Current and recent projects include the Louisiana Crossroads concert series and Pelicans on Parade.

The Performing Arts Society of Acadiana (PASA) is a presenting organization based in Lafayette, LA. PASA was formed by citizens of the Acadiana area community who desired local access to performances by nationally and internationally recognized artists. PASA's mission is to present exemplary artists in performance and residency settings.  PASA presents important artists in the fields of dance, music and theater, including both those who are easily accessible to the general community and those who appeal to a more diverse, educated or eclectic taste.
