Position Description:

• CGI Federal is seeking a Business Analyst to support a legacy financial system modernization project to analyze, document, test, and provide functional support services to successfully deliver the requirements of a large government contract across a geographically dispersed team.
• This project is an exciting, fast paced and dynamic environment that leverages areas such as Agile/Scrum methodology and DevSecOps to quickly build solutions based on customer requirements.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Under the direction of the Program Manager and the Senior Technical Architect, collaborate with client subject matter experts to capture and thoroughly document legacy system functionality and new system requirements.
• Derive and document test conditions from observing legacy system behavior
• Work with Agile teams to derive and document test conditions from new customer requirements.
• Support unit, integration, and acceptance testing.
• Apply expert financial system domain knowledge, professional principles, and theories to develop advanced concepts, techniques, solutions, and standards
• Bring proven new ideas and best practices that will enhance performance
• Mentors junior members on the team
• Customer service oriented
• Practices continuous improvement, especially as it related to improving collaboration and communication within and across teams
• Ability to analyze, identify, and solve problems
• Consistently meet customer deadlines, requirements, and expectations
• Adaptable to frequent changes
• Participates effectively in team environment
• Provides testing Support
• Supports IMS development and provides frequent status updates to the Program Manager

Qualifications:

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience in information technology, computer science, information systems or related field
• Demonstrated financial systems domain knowledge.
• Familiarity with mainframe system interfaces, scheduling and batch processing.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills with senior levels within corporate and customer organizations
• Experience meeting with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items, and effectively execute in accordance with approved plans
• Collaboration with technical counterparts and customers in forming strategies to improve performance, reliability, and cost effectiveness
• Experience in Agile methodology
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with code quality and automated testing tools (e.g., SonarQube, Katalon).
• Experience with process recorders
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with team members, customers and support personnel
• U.S. Citizenship is required
