Position Description:

• Operate and maintain vertical milling machines to produce high-precision parts and components for injection molds according to specifications.
• The CNC Vertical Mill Machinist will set up and run the machine to create parts for thermoplastic and Metal Injection molds.

Responsibilities/daily tasks:

• Surface grinding, manual milling, precision fitting
• Set up and operate CNC Vertical Mill machines to produce precision parts
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine the machining process and dimensions of the part
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards
• Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and changing tooling
• Troubleshoot and identify problems with the machine and take corrective actions to ensure quality parts are produced
• Collaborate with team members to improve machining processes and reduce production time
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical education preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience operating CNC Vertical Mill machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Proficient in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, gauges, and calipers.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to edit CNC programs at the machine
