Plan, initiate, and manage Information Technology (IT) projects.
Lead and guide the work of technical staff.
Serve as a liaison between business and technical resources.
Plan project stages and assess business and technical implication for each stage.
Monitor progress to ensure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead project planning sessions
Manage a portfolio of projects
Develop and manage work breakdown structure (WBS) of IT projects
Develop and maintain IT plans - outline project status for individual tasks, milestones, completion estimates, and resource allocation
Inspect projects for quality assurance
Design risk mitigation or contingency plans
Coordinate staff and internal resources
Manage project progress and adapt work as required to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope
Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders
Oversee all incoming and outgoing project documentation - including project objectives, statements of work, technologies/systems, specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing
Participate in project reviews and create status reports for stakeholders and leadership
Optimize and improve processes and overall approach where necessary
Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
Demonstrate functional acumen so support how solutions will address client needs
Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues
Extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods and techniques

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously
Conflict resolution experience
Bachelor Degree (4 year college degree or equivalent) is preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
