Description

  • Plan, initiate, and manage Information Technology (IT) projects.  
  • Lead and guide the work of technical staff.  
  • Serve as a liaison between business and technical resources.  
  • Plan project stages and assess business and technical implication for each stage.  
  • Monitor progress to ensure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning sessions
  • Manage a portfolio of projects
  • Develop and manage work breakdown structure (WBS) of IT projects
  • Develop and maintain IT plans - outline project status for individual tasks, milestones, completion estimates, and resource allocation
  • Inspect projects for quality assurance
  • Design risk mitigation or contingency plans
  • Coordinate staff and internal resources
  • Manage project progress and adapt work as required to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope
  • Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Oversee all incoming and outgoing project documentation - including project objectives, statements of work, technologies/systems, specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing
  • Participate in project reviews and create status reports for stakeholders and leadership
  • Optimize and improve processes and overall approach where necessary
  • Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
  • Demonstrate functional acumen so support how solutions will address client needs
  • Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues
  • Extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods and techniques


Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously
  • Conflict resolution experience
  • Bachelor Degree (4 year college degree or equivalent) is preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years experience
